Some people don't like when all the attention is supposed to be on someone else. They'll always do something to get attention instead. Go out with your girls, or on your own. Maybe pick someone up who doesn't feel they own you?

Jehovah only uses honest mean in directing his flock... except that one guy
by confusedandalone inyesterday in yet another attempt to get me back to jehovah's organization of faithful men, we began to argue.
when i asked her how she could possibly trust the men leading this organization who have lied over and over again about everything we believe.
she literally scream ed at me and said, "the men jehvoah uses in this organization to take the lead are standup men who always have the best intentions for the flock.".

This will get you nowhere with your wife. You need to back off! It's good that she is willing to talk to you, but be "respectful" when you talk about the org and the brothers. The last thing you want when you are trying to reach her is put her on the defensive. Chill. Out.

Awake! January 2014 - Which 'basic' kind are humans?
by bats in the belfry ingod did not make life in a simple form and allow it to evolve into more complex forms.
instead, he created basic kinds of complex plants and animals, which then reproduced according to their kinds.
( genesis 1:11, 21, 24 ) this process, which continues today, has resulted in the earth being filled with the same kinds of life that god originally created.. the bible does not specify how much variation can occur within a kind, as might result when animals within a kind interbreed and adapt to their environment.

What the hell is a "kind?" What about when different members of a "kind" are so different that they can no longer interbreed? Yes, that's right... Speciation.
Humans are Great Apes... Next question.

The reason behind why the ex-JW community can never match Jehovah's Witnesses' success.
by Stand for Pure Worship inan average of five kingdom halls being constructed daily, almost 8 million brothers and sisters, dissemination of bible literature in 595 languages, 111,795 congregations worldwide, distribution of 179 million bibles available in 116 languages, 239 countries where jehovah's witnesses have a presence, etc.. need i go on?.
on the other hand........... crisis of conscience, freeminds, the awaa, jw.net, ummmmmm........hmmm........idk six screens or something?
not exactly working out for you guys.

Does the number of increase in the JWs indicate jehovahs blessing and direction? Does it prove that the WT is god's chosen organization?
If so, then the JWs are very... VERY far down the list among Christian religions. Besides, ex-JWs are not cult members... JWs are. Cults attract and retain members through mind control. People come to this site confused, angry and sad. We help each other through our hard times caused by the cult, the. Most move on with their lives. The only time an ex-JW talks to another person about JWs is when they're warning them to stay away! This religion is poison. All religion is poison. The sooner the world reizes that, the sooner we can move on as a race.
But.. Please, continue

Was Richard Carrier a Jehovah's Witness?
by DeWandelaar ini was watching this lecture of him (very nice actually) and he was referring a lot of the bible.
now he used a bible version with jehovah's name in it and used it quite a lot.
i was therefore wandering: was he a witness at some point (around 6.20)?.

A Manual for Creating Atheists by Peter Boghossian
by cofty ina manual for creating atheists offers the first-ever guide not for talking people into faith--but for talking them out of it.
peter boghossian draws on the tools he has developed and used for more than twenty years as a philosopher and educator to teach how to engage the faithful in conversations that will help them value reason and rationality, cast doubt on their religious beliefs, mistrust their faith, abandon superstition and irrationality, and ultimately embrace reason.
- amazon.... "boghossian has provided an indispensible chart book for all of us who must navigate the rising sea of magical thinking that is inundating america today.

But once someone learns to sort through fact and fiction ie. material from spiritual, how can they NOT lose faith in a deity? The spiritual cannot be tested, therefore cannot be true. Once someone realizes that, a deity is not important.

thank you for all the kindness and many interesting discussions over the years.
i wish you all well in the future and the decisions you make.

You said there is no hope outside the truth ... But on other threads you state ad nauseum that there is no truth , no facts , etc... You are right, you don't fit in here.
Of course you are joking about "returning to jehovah" lol good luck, see you at the big A

Divorced Atheist ex-JW Dad
by braincleaned ini just wanted to chime in as a loving atheist father, divorced to a jw, and what plays as far as educating our children.. we have shared custody but the kids are mainly with their mom - 11 and 14 respectively.. the problem i face is keeping a balance for my children.
i have turned atheist during our marriage, so my ex didn't have the spiritual support she signed up for anymore.
i can understand it is not easy.

With the advent of the Information Age, the odds of your children turning out to be Atheists is high regardless of what you do. You can teach your children to think, without a frontal attack on their faith. Then let the internet take care of the rest. Just make sure they don't get baptized too young... Or at all.
The odds are in your favour. Just remember: them becoming believing adults IS a bad situation.

WT simplifying dates? other thought on Dec 15 edition.
by prologos intrivial but interesting:.
1) page 23 : simplified memorial date : 4 numbers only: 14 / 4/ 20 14 -or- 4 / 14 / 20 14 -or- 20 14 / 4 / 14. it is only numerology, and if you switched between julian& gregorian calenders, the order would disappear , yet if we could have an eclipse too, like we had in the 60s in eastern north america, icing on the cake.. 2) the front cover, two huge stones piled in the back yard of the house, precariously perched.
perhaps an attempt to please god through service 6000 bc.

No point trying to find cryptic messages from the WT outside of the revelation book... Dubs are too stupid, and there's no elite secret group who knows how to read them. Go ahead, bring this up to a JW friend and watch their reaction.
